Shin-kogei woodblock hand-dyed plush series.
Koinobori (鯉のぼり), meaning "carp streamer" in Japanese, are carp-shaped windsocks traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate Tango no sekku, a traditional calendrical event which is now designated a national holiday; Children's Day .
This is a "carp streamer" set.
The body of the carp streamer is designed with irises, which are flowers of the festival of the day. Comes in a special box with iraki waves, cloud waves and carp streamers.
This woodblock hand-dyed is dyed by Shin Kogei's own unique research and development method.
It is a handmade stuffed animal that is made by dyeing simple raw cotton with a Hida woodcut, steaming at high temperature, fixing the color, filling the rice hulls, and stitching.
You will be healed by the expression that can not be said, the simple and warm finish.
